Kind people, please pray for me. Part 2

Our next plate edition is now complete. It was printed in three colours, blue, black and red for the butterfly. The drawing was adapted from one of Rob's recent etchings and on the front reads, 'Kind people, please pray for me.' 


With all of our plate editions Rob has drawn a special message for the back, ' August 2013. Robert Ryan. This plate was printed and fired at the Mangle Studio, temple street, London E2 by Miss Jacqueline Ford and was produced in an edition of # of which this plate is number #. I was inspired by the idea of being creative and doing something different everyday of my life.' It is a small edition of only 15 and is available on our etsy shop and at Ryantown this weekend too.

    Hi there!
    We screenprint Rob's drawing using ceramic ink, it comes as a powder and we mix it with screenprinting binder to create the ink. We print this on to decal paper, once this is dry, we then use a special cover coat to create the transfer. If you read my post from June 14th it will give you a good idea on the process in full.     We buy our products from a company called Pottery Craft. Here is link to their website: http://www.potterycrafts.co.uk/. We use a lead free on-glaze powder and here is also a link to the coatcoat we use: http://www.potterycrafts.co.uk/Products/002800070001/P4254.1. This is screenprinted over the image to create the transfer.I hope this is helpful to you.
