A few years ago I did a book jacket for Dara Horn's brilliant story 'The World to come' so I was really happy to recently be asked to submit a design for her forthcoming book 'All other night'.
This is the design that the publisher decided not to use but I thought it might be nice to display here. The story is based in the american civil war at the time of the burning down of Richmond, Virginia. The design is for the whole of the dust jacket so the front is on the right, middle spine and then the back is on the left.

Life size ruler thingy.

I've been making these big rulers for measuring and recording growing humans. It's been nice working out in the yard in the sun this week.

Have been making Decals for glasses for the shop opening very very badly. We have been collecting every odd and mad shaped glass for the last month from local charity shops and have spent an age transferring them onto glasses it is so heartbreaking when they go into the kiln looking great and come out looking rubbish ! AARRGGHH !!!! I hate firing !!
