Hiya! I just wanted to let you know I've featured you this week on my website's "Super Awesome Saturdays". Which probably isn't the highest acclaim you've ever achieved, but I thought you might like to see it anyway.

hi rob,
This is beautiful again!! You make very very nice paper cuts. Thank you for making the smiles on our faces!
Because I make paper cuts myself too I'm curious how you scan/photograph your work. I use a flatscan but I love the shadows you have...and my flatscan makes mine dissapear off course. How do you do that?
love, hesje

Hi, Thanks for your nice comments.
Photographing my paper cuts, the best ones like in my book are done professionally with all types of top lighting and side lighting - it is an art form in itself !!! I try and replicate it myself badly in my studio using two softbox lights and hoping for lots of luck !!-hope this helps !
Best
Rob

Love it. Your paper cuts are charming. I'd also love to visit that charming store of yours. Being in NZ it might be some time before that happens, so for now I will watch fondly from afar!

Ah extra lights even...I'll ask a friends who is photographer to help me with that. Lights, a good photographer and the paper cuts. Thanks a lot.

hey there!

Opened the print today, my boyfriend got it for us as a present because we are buying our first house together and wanted something to keep as a memory for this period in our lives.

We can both see ourselves in your pictures and also they relate to how much love we feel for each other. It records love where spoken words fade

I really enjoyed reading your personal letter! It's amazing that your wife lived a road away from me!
The rains come and the little bridge between Moor Green and Dogpool is rising!

Thanks again, it means the world to me,

Lynsey x
